Shamelessly stolen from
a long while ago |D
Day 01: A song you know all the lyrics to.
Poison by Alice Cooper
Yeah, have only been listening to it for around 20 years, I'd say that's enough to memorize one song XD
Day 02: A song from the first album you ever bought. (what was the album?)
Ride The Lightning by Metallica
Can't recall the first one I ever bought myself. But Metallica's Ride The Lightning was the first album I do recall getting. I got this one, and later a whole lot of others, from my older cousin who was "over his Metal'ish "phase"", meh, he was a dork anyways and kinda went with the flow. I on the other hand have those old tapes to this day.
Day 03: A song that reminds you of a night out. (when was it and where?)
Plains Walker from the Shadow of The Beast OST
No, I am not telling you what kind of night was it. Yes, I am going to include game OST music tracks.
Day 04: A song you can remember you parents listening to.
Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen
Don't give a fuck about what my dick of a father listened to, but I fondly remember my mom loved Queen and this song in particular.
Day 05: A song a friend likes but you don't.
Drinkin' Boys by DJ Ozma
Well, that's putting it lightly...
Many of my friends love it for some reason... I don't see much to hype about, neither is the song catchy, it's just plain annoying, nor is it any fun to watch either... it's not even exactly original, take Blink-182 for example who did something similar waaaay before, and better, and to a song that's actually good. It would have been a yet another meh-type waste of time if not for the constant pushing it into my face as the coolest thing ever, which has made me really detest it instead...
Day 06: A novelty song.
Bras On 45 by Ivor Biggun & The D-Cups
Here, have the full version, which is pretty rare to come by XD
Booty got Baby Got Back, legs got Drop Dead Legs, and boobs have Bras On 45, 'nuff said >D
Day 07: One of your favourite songs.
Of Wolf And Man by Metallica
Just in case it wont fit anywhere else. Aaaaawwoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
Day 08: A song you used to like but now hate.
Sandstorm by Darude
Thank you Youtube...
Day 09: A childhood memory T.V. theme tune.
Swat Kats Season 1 and Season 2
Well fuck... major nostalgia attack here... damn, I could honestly give a whole list of awesome TV show themes I grew up with, and not just because they were 80-90 nostalgic TV shows, but because they were just THAT good. Hell, the AVGN showed you we had terrible games back then as well as the good ones, but trust me, it was the exact same thing regarding TV shows, we had a lot of shit on our hands alongside the better series |DBut back to the topic, Swat Kats is my favourite cartoon series to this day for a reason, even if it was filled with some 80-90 nonsense at times, and both season openings only did it justice ^^Megaman and TMNT were some close seconds, but nothing beats the Swat Kats opening in my book ^^
Day 10: A song from one of your favourite albums. (what is the album?)For Whom The Bell Tolls (S&M version)
by MetallicaYeah, S&M is to this day one of my favourite albums. It had so many great Metallica tracks, and had them all arranged in such a breathtaking way. Metal and classic just mix that well \m/
Day 11: A song from an artist you are attracted to.Winna
by O.N.A.Agnieszka Chylińska, the perfect combination of beauty and badassery (and of course, great music) was my first serious crush (as far as real women go), and to this day I still find her one of the hottest women I know *q*
Day 12: A song from any dead artist.Holy Diver
by Ronnie James DioRIP o' great god of metal
One of the greatest and most influential icons of the heavy metal genre, the one who popularized the well-known "devil horns", one of the greatest vocalists of all time. RIP Ronnie James Dio
PS. The first person to go "this should be a Jojo ending" is gonna be blocked. I am dead serious.
Day 13: A favourite cover song. (do you know who sang the original?)Enjoy The Silence
by Lacuna CoilOh, I simply have no idea |D
Geez, of course I know who did the original, how would I know it's a cover otherwise XD I swear, some of these are written in such an idiotic way...
But about the song, Christina Scabbia has one awesome voice, and in my humble opinion, did a great job with Depeche Mode's timeless classic.
Day 14: A song with a good video.Speed Demon
by Michael JacksonBack from when MJ was truly awesome. Many of his songs had some really outstanding videos, and while Thriller might be his best one, Speed Demon is my personal favourite, mostly because of the amazing stop-motion animation.
Day 15: A song you hate.Ona Tańczy Dla Mnie
by WeekendA not-so-bad song turned internet fad turned one fucken' annoyance... it's really not that bad and some might find it catchy... yet for some reason people thought it was a funny concept that "everyone actually loves it even when they say they don't", because no, I do not like it, it's just a random song that I don't care about... it's pretty much over and mostly forgotten nowdays, good riddance...
Day 16: A song you like but a friend hates.Fat
by Weird Al YankovicYou know who you are, hehe, fat is awesome, deal with it >D
Day 17: A song from a movie. (what is the movie?)Professional Pirate
from Muppets Treasure IslandErm, yeah... I just gave you the title... geez, the one who wrote this tag is a moron...
Anyways, Tim Curry's voice is one of the best there is, Tim Curry's singing voice is equally great, hence I was waiting anxiously for him to get his own number in this movie and after a longer while of waiting got one of the bets villain songs there are.
Day 18: A song from the year you were born.Metal Rules
by TyrantOh yeah, good ol' 1985, makes ya old enough to remember the 80s yet young enough to fully appreciate the 90s XD
But anyways, while there are many bands by the name "Tyrant", this particular German band was on of my favs back in the days. they are long gone now, but their music is still awesome IMO.
Day 19: A song you think most people would like.Catgroove
by Parov StelarThere's a huge chance they will, it's the ultimate catchy song. then again, most of Parov Stelar's tracks are super catchy.
Day 20: A good 80's song.Kickstart My Heart
by Motley CrueHA! Like most of what i put heve isn't from the 80's already XD
So again, in case this wont fit anywhere else and I really wanted to include it.
Day 21: A song with a name in it.Scotty Doesn't Know
by LustraEurotrip FTW!
Day 22: A song that is over 7 minutes long.Dante's Inferno
by Iced EarthHere, have the full version. Hope it's long enough for ya >D
Day 23: A song with no lyrics.Death Garden Jive
from Skullmonkeys OSTWhen you get the OST for the game, and a song's lyrics are written as "your guess is as good as ours" it kinda shows how much fun the creators had with this piece XD
You're actually more likely to decipher the infamous Mortal Kombat gibberish than this XD
Day 24: A good 70's song.The Ballroom Blitz
by SweetAlthough I first discovered this song through Guitar Hero, I really love the original version as well
Day 25: A song you would ask a DJ to play at a party.Derezzed
by Daft PunkAs much as I love rock and metal, doesn't mean I don't delve into other genres from time to time. And Daft Punk rocks >;3
Day 26: A good 60's song.Born To Be Wild
by SteppenwolfAdmit it, you didn't know that song was that old XD
Day 27: A song with a number in it.Thirteen Autumns and a Widow
by Cradle of FilthWhat can I say, 13 has always been my number >3
Day 28: A really old song. (roughly what year?)In The Court of The Crimson King
by King Crimson1969... ya think it's old enough for the vague hipsterity of today's point?
Day 29: A Michael Jackson song.Smooth CriminalSurprised? XD
"Bad era" MJ was awesome, and this song is one of my most fav tracks to this day ^^
Day 30: One of the oldest songs that you like.Battle on The Ice
by Sergei ProkofievYes, I do listen to classical music. And if you'll take the time to listen to this one, you'll know precisely why >D
It takes a while to get seriously started (about a minute and a half or so), but when it does, oh shit, there's no last boss worthy of such epic music XD
Also, it's the only classical track that beats Chopin's Funeral March (which was the primary candidate for this one) in my personal ranking, and that's saying a lot (cause we all know that guy was a musical genius, and he is basically the best known Polish musician to date, which does make us Polish folks proud >D).
Day 31: If you were to have a party for your birthday, this song has to be played.Happy Birthday (My Olde Friend)
by VoltaireHeh, this is my favourite birthday song ever, it's pretty obvious I'd love to hear it during my won XD
Day 32: A song in the current charts you like the most.Uptown Funk
by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars...more like "the only song in the current charts that was pleasant to hear"... I actually had to browse through the current charts and it was a horribly painful experience... now I remember why I avoid these...
Day 33: A really short song. The Simpsons' Flintstones parodyToo many choices for this one, just decided to go with the silliest choice XD
Day 34: A song performed by an actor/actress.True Survivor
by David HasselhoffMwehehe, this was far too much fun to pass up >D
At first wanted to go for Christopher Lee, but his amazing voice is far better at narration and acting than singing, and for those who did not know, Lee does actually perform as a metal singer.
Day 35: A song from a classic rock band.Paranoid
by Black SabbathHeh, not that almost everything I put here aint from classic rock/metal bands XD
So have some good ol' Black Sabbath >3
Day 36: The Eurovision Song Contest winner the year you were born. (1956+)La Det Swinge
- BobbysocksNot my cup of tea, but not too bad. This really begs for a misheard version though, I heard "awesome shit" in there at least twice XD
Day 37: Worst song you have in your collection.the whole fucken Lulu album
by Lou Reed and MetallicaI don't mind most things that metallica is usually badmouthed for, and I really enjoyed the hated St.Anger and Death magnetic. But this travesty is the tru Thing That Should Not Be...
Day 38: A song that gets you motivated.Don't Stop Me Now
by QueenThe ultimate motivation song. If this doesn't get you up and goin', nothing will.
Day 39: The first random song that comes to you.Down Under
by Men At WorkFirst song I think of when the word "random" pops up |D
Day 40: A song from the 1950's.Tequila
by The ChampsNot my favourite period music wise
Day 41: A song you can remember from when you were at school.School's Out
by Alice CooperBasically the only song I ever associate with school XD
Day 42: A song people wouldn't think you'd like, but you do.Sky*Limit
by YohioMany people thought I'd be creeped out, heh, like I don't make it clear enough I don't mind traps XD Yohio is actually pretty cute and has some pretty nice songs.
Day 43: A song that was a number one from any of your birthdays....what..? ...I mean... what...?
OK, does it mean some kind of chart topper during my birthday or song played during my actual birthday.. or...
Oh fuck it, the Italian Spiderman Theme
by Enzo Bontempi is the ultimate number 1 song anyway XD
I blame the neverending hipsterity of this challenge, the one who made it was a dumbass...
Day 44: If you were to release an album, this song would be on it.Sonic Boom
by Crush 40The original was cool, and the Crush 40 cover is nothing short of pure badassery. If there's one thing in which Sonic is completely superior over Mario it's the music.
Day 45: A song by the Beatles.I Am The Walrus
by The Beatles Not a fan of The Beatles, so I had to improvise...
Day 46: A good song from the 2000's.Wooden Pints
by KorpiklaaniFolk metal FTW!!
Hehe, anyways, sorry for the lacking sound quality, but wanted to show the original videoclip, since it was rather amusing XD
Day 47: The worst song by one of your favourite artists/bands.Purify
by MetallicaI'm actually one of those rare specimens who actually enjoyed St.Anger. However, Purify is just plainly a horrible pain on your ears and your soul...
Day 48: A song you can remember from an advert. (what was the advert?)Perfect Day
by Lou ReedOne of the Playstation 4 adverts, heh, Sony can throw some pretty mindfucking shit in their ads, but there are times when their ads end up pure aweosmeness. Like this one of the "Long Live Gaming" one
Day 49: A song you think an artist should cover. (who should cover it?)Open Your Heart
from Sonic Adventure & Sonic GenerationsIf lord Dio were alive, this song would sound ungodly great when sung by his ungodly great voice.
Day 50: A song you think everyone has forgotten. What Is Love
by Haddaway Well, I am aware people still very well remember it, but I had a hard time deciding something to fulfil the hipsterity of this entry... the author of this challenge sounds like more and more of a hipster with each one of these...
Day 51: A good summertime song.Summertime Lovin' (Lovin' in The Summer Time)
by Solid BoldYou asked for it >D
Day 52: Worst Christmas number one ever.
All of 'emYeah, I'm not even being lazy here, for me the only good X-mas songs are the humorous ones, the really X-massy ones are cheesy enough to cause physical pain when listened to...
Day 53: A feel good song.Schadenfreude
by Avenue QHehehe, nothing better to cheer oneself up fast >D
Day 54: A song from artist/band you'd love to see live (even if they are no more).Man On The Silver Mountain
by Ronnie James Dio Once again, RIP master Dio
Day 55: A song from the last artist/band you did see live. (when where?)One
by MetallicaOne of many time when Metallica has visited our backwoods country.
Day 56: A song from the 'The Rolling Stone Greatest Guitarists' list.Smells Like Teen Spirit
by Nirvana'Nuff said.

...the utter hipsterity of this one confuses me... so have some singing Hulk Hogan

by AC/DCFor some odd reason I do good at AC/DC songs in ultrastar... even though my voice doesn't sound anything close |D
Day 59: For a laugh, I'd like to see someone choose this song for Karaoke.Da Plate Ees Hot (Castle De Los Muertos)
from SkullmonkeysThose be some damn awesome lyrics here XD
Day 60: A song that has a dance that goes with it.Thriller
