Howling Blizzard

Blizzard Wolfang from Megaman X6

Part 7/12 of my MMX tribute project.

well lookie here, finished a second MMX entry in the same month... maybe I'll be able to keep the hell up with these for a change |D
But back to the pic, hehe, as some of you might already know MMX6 happens to be my favourite MMX part, for various reasons, for one, there was that Nightmare system, which interfered with the stages, filling them with new, random hazards, that was so bloody awesome ^^ and of course, the new rescue "sidequest" was awesome, and made you revisit several stages in search of hidden MIAs ^^ of course, each stage having an alternate route (MMX2 style) with bonus bosses like Nightmare Zero, High Max and Dynamo were a nice touch ^^

And speaking of bosses, the mavericks here are some of my favourites in the entire series, be it the ferocious type like Blizzard Wolfang or Blaze Heatnix, or the oddball type like Ground Scaravitch or Shield Sheldon, they were all awesoem, not to mention the new rival character High Max, and the main boss, Gate, who were some pretty damn awesome charas, hell, even Dynamo makes a cameo appearance as a bonus boss, geez, that guy is just way too cool for just one game >D
Aaaaand yes, I know Sigma appears at the very ending to steal the last boss spot, but Gate IS clearly the main boss here, hell, he's even way harder to beat than Sigma's new junkyard form XD
Hell, Sigma was cool at first, but each time he came back it felt more and more like a lame Wily parody, and Sigma himself, got lamer and lamer with each new game to the point when his "cameo" in MMX6 was sad and laughable at best... like I said, he was cool at first, but he's easily outclassed by basically every other main villain in the series, such as Gate, Dr. Doppler, General, etc.

Whew, moving on, maybe a few words about the pic itself. Hehe, it should go without saying this guy is my most favourite maverick boss >D I mean, he's a wolf, and a bloody awesome wolf at that. He shares many resemblances with Slash Beast from MMX4, but is far stronger and badass, he also obviously inspired the design of Fenri Lunaedge from the Megaman Zero series. Anyways, since he does happen to be my biggest fav, I didn't even randomize it this time, and just focused on drawing Wolfang in the most fangoriously ferocious way I could to picture his lupine badassery in the best way possible >3
I might not be the best MMX fanartist out there, but I am still satisfied with how it came out, hehe, hope you guys like it as well ^^
